平和大通り沿いの緑地で、元気に育っている木々のなかに、1本のナツメヤシがひっそりと立っています。幹には、縦に大きく深い溝があり、原爆による痛々しい傷となって残っています。当時を知る市民の証言により、被爆樹木として登録されました。
Among the trees that thrive in the green area along Peace Boulevard, there is one jujube tree that stands quiet and proud. It bears on its trunk a painful scar from the bombing: a large and deep gash. It was registered as a hibaku tree thanks to testimonies from survivors.
